I had no idea.
Kevin Spacey is being used to tout the Renault Espace, apparently making almost random vaguely insightful remarks while motoring around in said vehicle.
The new Renault Espace is a travesty, a betrayal. It’s an Isuzu Axxiom without the generous windows. It is gone from itself. All those years of delightful gigantic windows, the trend-setting design that was function and form together, have been flushed down the commode.
The stupid thing looks like it wants to be an Audi Q5 or something. I am not delighted.
More good news: When you click to see videos regarding Kevin Spacey’s embrace of Espace, the site tells you, sorry, NOT in YOUR country, HA ha.
Never fear, youtube, here,
This reminds me of Clarkson et al theorizing how Peugeot deliberately went about to destroy itself with decisions to do so made at the highest level, to jettison the brand’s strengths, etc.
It’s a a freaking LWB previous-generation Murano, it’s pointless. Look at the big stupid wheels, the ground clearance that makes zero sense on European roads, the scrunched up greenhouse and the c-pillar (d-pillar?) that make blindspot warning systems a necessity. It’s so breathtakingly stupid.
Do you see what’s been lost? Thirty years of practical motor vehicle development pushed aside like used paper towels. SIGH.
